Vroon orders eight asphalt/bitumen tankers for operation under the Iver Ships banner

We are pleased to announce that Vroon/Iver Ships have placed an order for eight 6,100 DWT asphalt/bitumen tankers at GEO Shipyard in Mokpo, South Korea. The new vessels will be delivered between First Quarter 2009 and spring 2011.

During the past year, Vroon and GEO have worked closely together on the design and specifications of the new vessels. Construction of the first vessel started this month.

Iver Ships intend to build up a market presence in the asphalt/bitumen sector and business development has commenced.

From 2008 on, the current Vroon tanker fleet, consisting of six handy-size and seven medium-range product/chemical tankers, will also be marketed and operated by Iver Ships B.V., a Vroon Group company. A new Iver Ships office is scheduled to open in the course of 2008.
